On one system where I installed the Vista build 5270 it uses the on-board Intel 915GMA for graphics acceleration. I was unable to see any of the Aero/transluscent windows in that mode. In addition, trying to start Windows Movie Maker told me I needed a card capable of Pixel Shader 2.0 and Vertex Shader 2.0 support. I understood the Intel 915GMA had hardware support for Pixel Shader 2.0 and software support for Vertex Shader 2.0...
Will this work? Does it just need LDDM drivers? Or will I require a dedicated graphics card? I know the nVidia cards work fine, but on paper it seems the Intel 915 should have the support for Windows Movie Maker in Vista.

Capabilities of the Intel 915GMA on-board graphics?
Right now support for Aero Glass with on-board graphics is still iffy and not determined, the last time I heard, a dedicated Graphics Card AGP or PCI Express is definitely recommended to get the best experience from Windows Vista. I would continue wait and hope for better news as the development progresses, beta 2 should provide us with more concrete details since everything is still not final. -- Andre Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm

We have not been able to get them working with the Intel chip sets either. We have had success with both nVidia and ATI if we use the "supported" versions of their cards. ATI updated their LDDM drivers recently.
